Pastor-Rev Russell Hobbs
Weddings at the Chapel must be scheduled with the minister. A wedding at the Coleman Memorial Chapel is understood as a union between a man and a woman. We do not perform same sex marriages or conduct ceremonies that honor those unions. The Board will rely on the wisdom, prudence and judgement of the minister in this matter.
Weddings are held in the Chapel for church members and their immediate families. An exception will be made for others at the discretion of the minister, board and the current caretaker’s. The Board will rely on the discretion of the minister for these exceptions. The minister will present the information to the board members for their perusal and input.
Our minister and/or another approved clergy may conduct the wedding.
Prospective couples are encouraged to attend Chapel services on Sundays to see the building.
An appointment must be made with the pastor or caretakers to see the Chapel and its buildings at other times.
The Chapel may only be opened a maximum of three (3) times to accommodate the preparation of the wedding. The arrangements for these times must be made with the caretakers or pastor.
Important: Counseling sessions must be held with our minister and the number of sessions is at his discretion. If other arrangements for counseling are made, they must be in agreement with the minister.
The wedding rehearsal time must be set and adhered to by the wedding party. The rehearsal will be for one (1) hour. The officiating pastor will conduct the wedding rehearsal. ALL program aspects of the wedding must be discussed and cleared by the pastor 30 days prior to the wedding date.
